Holm View, Barry

We were chosen as the preferred principal contractor for the Vale of Glamorgan Council to deliver a new 11 home residential development off Holm View, Barry

The development consisted of 11 homes, including a row of seven houses and four bespoke bungalows. The bungalows and an end of terrace house were specially adapted to cater for the needs of the future residents. The end link house specifically provided a through floor lift for the incoming residents.

All homes have been built to Welsh Government’s Development Quality Requirements (DQR), Lifetime Homes standards, Secured By Design standards and RNIB Visibly Better Standards.

We are proud to have helped provide affordable homes to this area of Wales and were pleased to hear the feedback from the Vale of Glamorgan Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood services and Transport, Cllr Margaret Wilkinson, who said: “The need for council housing is increasing so it’s vital we provide for that by delivering top quality properties.

“Nearly half of these homes have been specially adapted to meet the needs of disabled residents.

“All have been constructed to the highest specification and will provide comfortable modern places for families to live.”
